The Airfix Porsche F1 is based on the Porsche 804. This was one of the second batch of original Airfix cars and although it was available till the end of the Airfix range as a ready to run car it was only available as a set car in the short lived MR15. This car first came with the two pin steering guide, body coloured wheels and no windscreen before being upgraded with chrome wheels and windscreen. It was then released as the Mk2 with the guide flag steering unit. Both these cars have the full body and 3/4 driver figure. This was was later released as a Hi-Speed model with the open body and can motor. Replacement body kits were available in all three versions.
