Added the front grill and light unit along with the rear lights to the car.

We had a practice session at my club today and I gave the Skyline a test run and was very surprised and happy with the results. Although not the fastest of cars it handled very nicely for a car that's only about 50mm wide at the rear.

I bought an Aoshima Nissan Skyline R33 Snap Kit in my last order of kits from Japan and I had originally intended to use a Slot.It Skyline chassis but the wheelbase didn't look right and so I ordered a Slot.It HRS2 chassis for it which arrived yesterday.
I built the chassis up today found a slight problem with it. The HRS2 chassis is designed to take the old style motor pod with the side tab which makes the chassis wide on one side than the other and meant that I would have to fit a set of narrow wheels, probably about 6mm wide so a change of plan was required. However by this time I had printed a 3D interior tray with mounting posts, as I had done for the Bluebird, and on doing another check of the Skyline chassis I found that the chassis mounting point were the same and comparing the chassis wheelbase with the built up HRS2 there wasn't as much in it as I thought so I have now fitted all the running gear to the Slot.it Skyline chassis but i did have to do quite a bit of trimming of the chassis losing about 3mm each side and also some front and rear trimming. I also 3D printed an driver and front seats, again as for the Bluebird but scaled down, but having glued it to the tray I discovered that the seats and driver were to high so the driver has now lost the top of his head and now looks a bit like a very small egg cup.

Added the chrome plated parts to the Datsun Bluebird body and also done some more detail painting. I have also printed a separate interior tray with moulded in driver and front seats and it's glued to the chassis tray. The chassis tray has also been glued to the body so the car is now a runner.

Done some detail painting on the Datsun Bluebird body, mainly painting the chrome work around the window frome and moulded in details.

As I have settled on using the chassis from my 1/24th scale Revell Lotus 23 for the Datsun Bluebird I have decided to print a 3D interior tray in keeping with vintage Revell cars that will have the same 4 body mounting posts on the tray.

Started to build up the Hasegawa Nissan (Datsun) Bluebird 1/24th scale model kit as a slot car for my clubs vintage evening saloon class.

Been doing a bit of detail work on the Subaru 360. Added some chrome work and started to paint the driver tray.

Did some work on 2 of my club cars today, both modern Nascar.

It's alive, the Subaru 360 is not finished yet but is a runner
