This car arrived in not the best condition but in working order fitted with dried out sponge rear tyres.

Although I haven't done any work to the chassis I have changed all the rear end running gear. I've fitted a new pair of 3mm AYK axle bearing along with a new AYK axle and rear wheels. I've also changed the gear for a brass AYK 28T one. I also found an old pair of tyres that fit. I also removed the hook from the motor. As the body had some small cracks and damage around the pin holes I have added some aluminium foil to the inside of the body and the lower edge of the body sides so that it looks like metal trim. Unfortunately the gear and pinion are of quite a different pitch so don't mesh very well and the car is very noisy.

I've now change the pinion from the old 8T to a new 9T of better pitch and the car is a lot quiter.

Having received a delivery of urethane tyres I've now fitted a new set of rear tyres. All the new parts can be seen in the photos below.
