Of the three 917s I now have this is in the best condition and the most original. Although it still has wire wheels I thing it looks better as they are the grey un-chromed ones.
This car also has the smaller front winglets and is a darker shade of blue than my other two, in fact I think it is quite close to Gulf Blue. In fact all three of my 917s are different shades of blue.
I will need to replace the rear tyres, running on SCX Compact F1 rears at the moment, I may try sanding the rears and then an oil bath as they don't seem to be in that bad a condition.
It still needs a clean and polish and I haven't had a look in side yet but it runs quite well as it arrived. Although that will have to wait a few days as it's not mine until Xmas.
