This car while quite nice has some distortion to the body around the carb stacks and under the drive on the other side. The car will run but needs a lot of help to get going and the motor is getting very hot. I could be a gears problem or something rubbing inside which may explain the body gap on the righthand side. A good strip down will be needed although I don't know a lot about these early plastic scalextric cars.
