Mercedes W125 1/32nd scale white slot car by Airfix

This car was purchase about 1971/72

This was built from an Airfix body kit purchased from Wonderland Raceway in Southend on Sea and fitted with a Clubman Special chassis, as you can just about see it still has the wide F1 wheels fitted as I believe the chassis was from a BRM kit.
The body is unpainted still being in white and the front of the lower body part is removed to allow the chassis to fit.
This was my standard open wheel class races at my School, Cecil Jones High School, during the 1972/73 year and the first part of the 1973/74 term. Whilst being one of the faster cars it was still beaten by some of the Scalextric F1 cars.
This car was 'lost' around 1978/80.
