This layout was started in December 2011.
This layout started as a track laid out quickly on Christmas Day 2011 using my Ninco World Rally set. During January and Feburary 2012 I purchased some more standard track and them some of the ice track. I also purchased some extra borders and some of the Ninco 'H' shaped track risers.
After a few different designs I settled on the layout shown here. Getting the track down made a bit of a mess which I've erased in the photos.

I did have a few problems with the Ninco track as some cars did not have sufficient clearance to run properly. The SCX Mini I had would not run at all with the magnet in as the rails were to high and the Revell Cortina Mk1 would ground out on ther top of the climbs and I had to remover the magnet and also file away the magnet holder moulding. Another problem was with the Ice track which has a raised edge with represents a ridge of snow or ice but a lot of the cars would get a wheel stuck behind this if and when they ran wide so in the end I had to grind the out track edge away.
Because of the problems with the cars at the brow of the incline I started to make a few changes to the layout to try and make the brow more gentle.

The track lasted until about the Middle of March when due to space and the room it was taking up it was taken up and replaced by a Carrera Go!!! track.
