Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe 1/32nd Scale Plastic Construction Kit by Lindberg

This kit was purchase with the intent to convert it to a slot car and is one of a range of simple American and Canadian kits released in the mid sixties. The kit turned out to be a snap build kit designed just to be pushed together but still has the very basic number of parts. You get the body in two parts, top and bottom, simple moulded plastic wheels and axles, seats, a simple dash panel, steering wheel, separate rear panel and cockpit glazing. There is also a basic set of decals.

Looking at the kit I decided to try and do a quick build and use the lower body moulding as the cars chassis. having decided to take this route I selected one of my open frame motors with rear axle bracket and the rear axle and crown gear already attached.
