Mercedes 300SL 1/32nd Scale Plastic Construction Kit by Lindberg

This kit was purchase with the intent to convert it to a slot car and is one of a range of simple American and Canadian kits released in the mid sixties. This kit is a bit more advanced than the Lindberg snap fit kits I have but only just. All the parts need gluing together and there are a few more parts. You still get the top and bottom parts, four basic one part wheels and simple plastic axle, a pair of simple seats and steering wheels. The front grill, front and rear bumper, headlights and windscreen frame are all separate parts to be glued on as are the body side panels.

Looking at the floor pan I et the feeling this kit was designed to have other parts that are not included in this version.

The kit has been started before I bought it and the grill and body side panels have been glued in place. The back of the wheels has also been blanked off with plasticard.
