I've now fitted the interior in to the body. I decided not to glue it and ave used aluminium tape on all four edges.

The chassis is now fitted and it's ready for testing. I haven't fixed the brass tubing together yet just in case I decide to change the chassis and use this one in a different car.

I've been working on the interior for the modified Monaco and I'm using a flat thin pasticard sheet with the original dash cover and cut down figures. It's all glued together and been painted. I've also given the chassis a test run and it all seems ok on my Policar layout.

With the chassis extension now set overnight I've built up the running gear, all Slot.It, and as I may use the car in my clubs scratch built saloon car class I've, for the moment anyway, fitted a Slot.It Flat-6 RS at 25k. I've also fitted mounting blocks in the body using plasticard.

As the front and rear bumpers were a sandwich fit between the original chassis and the body I've now glued them directly to the body

I've made a start on on modifying the Blues Brothers Dodge Monaco and have full striped the car down. Work has started on the chassis which will be a modified Slot.It Skyline chassis. The cut the chassis where the rear side reinforcement ends and have extended the chassis using two different sizes brass tubing to allow the overall length to be adjusted for the correct wheelbase.

I've also removed the speaker from the roof as this will be based on the car from earlier in the film.

Received an order of 3mm and 4mm long M2 grub screws. The package also included a selection of different size cap head machine screws, nuts and thumb knob nuts.

I also received a second Blues Brothers Dodge Monaco which is going to have some work done to it to make it faster than those pesky cop cars

I received three packages today each with a slot car in it.The second box I opened had a Carrera VW Beetle, Kafer, Gp5 bought on eBay.

The third box opened, from Rails of Sheffield, had a NSR Mercedes AMG in Martini livery.

The first box opened, from Pendle's, had a Policar BRM from the South African GP.

The box also contained some parts, A NSR white hard motor pod to try in my Mosler along with smone Sloting Plus bearings, 4 packs of single flange, some 31mm and 29.9mm Combie Axle Tubes and 30mm and 32.5mm Monobloc Axle tubes.

Received my latest Corgi Model Club car today, a Lotus Elan S2 with opening bonnet, tilting seats and racing driver figure.

Received this late 1960's vintageGama Porsche Carrera 6 today.

Received this Scalextric Ferrari F40 today, bought because of the livery.

Received a 1/32nd scale Airfix Mercedes car today that has been painted in Gulf colours
