This car is based on a Parma 1/32nd scale Parma steel chassic with a vac form Lotus 56 Turbine Indy car body.
I was looking for an advantage in the Monday open wheel class at my school club (Cecil Jones High School) as my
Airfix 1/3nd scale Mercedes W158 was not always the best car. I was using the
Parma 1/32nd Porsche 917 on the main Monday racing class and it was the best car being raced at the time when I came as cross a vac form body of the Lotus 56 Turbine as raced at the Indi 500. This had quite a wide body compared to most F1 cars and I realised that this would fit a Parma steel chassis with the side pans cut away.

Other that having the side pans removed this was raced as it came and won every race for at least the last two terms, not sure if used during the first term and helped me to first place in this class and the overall championship.
As this was my last year at school I sold the car to another club member on 1975.
The above photo shows a Betta vac body that I have bought so I can recreate this car using one of my Parma chassis cut down to suit.
