The body has now been fitted with the Slot.It HRS2 chassis that was under the
Red Mini
I haven't made any changes to the running gear which apart from the motor, a ScaleAuto 25k Tech-2 S-can, is all Slot.It. the wheels are alloy 17.3 x 8.2mm Gp C wheels with the 2.5mm hubs with F223 rear tyres and zero grip fronts. The gears are 9T pinion driving a 26T blue crown gear. The guide is a Slot.It deep wood guide trimmed to suit the club track.
I have always had trouble getting the HRS2 chassis to fit to the body an up to now it has been done with a mixture of glue, which doesn't hols well, and tape. The body is now fitting in a much more traditional way for a vac body, I have drilled 4 holes in to the side bars where the locating pin are and have cut and bent 2 pieces of piano wire to suit which is held in place by a piece of tape.
The only other changes that may be made are to change the rear tyres for NSR as we are now allowed to run any rubber tyre up to 10mm wide and the crown gear to a 25T.
