Did a bit more painting today, the Porsche 914/6 GT got the bumpers, sills and roof painted black. The Ford Capri Mk1 also got it's main colour, blue applied, but there were problems when the masking tape was removed with the white paint pealing from the primer. The second Porsche 914/6 GT also got painted, primed and top coat, Zero paints Porsche Irish Green, but not gloss coat yet.
I received 2 parcels with cars today and some parts. 1 box contained 3 Slot.It Porsche 956 1/32nd scale slot cars that were being sold separately on eBay but are from a triple set but as bought singly there is no set box. Rothmans #1.
The other car was from Pendle's along with some Scaleauto anglewinder spur gears, Slot.It pinions and some NSR tyres. This was one of the cars released as a Limited edition of 200 for the UK Slot Festival from Fly of the Lola T70 MkIIIB. I bought this car as unlike a lot of special cars this is a real livery from Le Mans 1971
I also had a small delivery from Hiroboy of some green and orange Porsche paint and some Mr Hobby liquid filler.
Whilst collecting a Gordini F1 body kit from Pendle's stand I saw this MRRC Ford GT MkIV which completes my collection of MkIVs from Le Mans 1967.
I found this vintage brass chassis Ferrari 330 P4 in a box of £10 cars.
As I was leaving the Festival just before it closed, having taken part in the Policar GP I took the long way out and just happended to spot this MRRC Shelby Cobra Hardtop on the Pendle's stand. This is a car I should have received just before Christmas but the carrier lost it.
My first purchase of the day wasn't a car but this tyre truer.
